IMOM is a new cultural space dedicated to immersive experiences — blending panoramic video, interactive media, and game-based installations. Located in the heart of Madeira, IMOM invites visitors to dive deep into the island’s hidden layers — from its underwater ecosystems to its volcanic peaks, from its traditions to the future.

Theatre

Surround yourself with sound, motion, and cinematic scale. Our theatre room features 360° wall-mapped projections — offering deep dives into themes like “Madeira from Above,” “Underwater Life,” and more. Watch. Listen. Feel.

Playground

Move, play, explore. The Playground is IMOM’s experimental zone — featuring spatial games and kinetic interactions powered by cutting-edge tech like the ZED2 stereo camera. Every visit brings a new way to connect with space.

Reception

Even the entrance is part of the experience. At the IMOM reception, visitors are welcomed by a living, responsive installation — a digital canvas that reacts to movement, sound, or time of day. More than just a ticket counter, this space sets the tone for what’s to come: immersion from the very first step.

Art exhibitions

go beyond the frame — they surround, respond, and transform. Each installation is designed to be experienced spatially, blending physical presence with digital media, sound, light, and motion. Whether it’s a generative lightscape, a kinetic sculpture, or a sound-reactive environment, our exhibitions invite you to step inside the work — not just observe it.

VR Cinema

Step into another layer of immersion at the IMOM VR Cinema — a dedicated space featuring six Oculus headsets, each offering access to our curated collection of virtual reality films. 

PLAYER TWO

is a retro-futuristic game station designed for two players — built around the minimalist charm of the PICO-8 fantasy console. Sit side by side, grab a joystick, and dive into custom-made microgames that blend pixel aesthetics with immersive interaction. It’s low-res, high-fun — a tribute to the joy of playing together.

Before you leave, take a piece of the experience with you. The IMOM Gift Shop offers a curated selection of objects, prints, wearables, and playful tech — from immersive postcards and art books to pixel-inspired merchandise and exclusive exhibition collectibles.
